There is no judging, no jury, no competition. Host Thomas Gottschalk meets each child on stage for the first time and is just as surprised by them as the audience is.
"Little Big Stars" is produced by the Warner Bros. International Television Production Deutschland GmbH on behalf of SAT.1.
The shows with Thomas Gottschalk and the small, big stars are shown in the MMC Studio 36 recorded in Cologne. MMC Studios has been commissioned by Warner Bros. International Television Production Deutschland for the technical implementation of "Little Big Stars".
MMC's TV Production Services for "Little Big Stars" include, among other things, technical concept development and planning, building permit and security concept, lighting technology, media technology, sound reinforcement, image, sound and camera technology, the actual technical production, technical personnel as well as management and coordination of all trades.
The service profile also includes Stage construction, rigging, kinetics, and the decoration construction., which is from the MMC Art Department was implemented according to a design by Wieder Design.

U.S. host Ellen DeGeneres and comedian Steve Harvey developed the show together for NBC. "Little Big Shots" got off to a more successful start in the U.S. in spring 2016 than any other show in the past five years. The second season started on March 5, 2017.
