More than one million viewers watched the hit comedy "Hilfe, ich hab meine Lehrerin geschrumpft" in 2015, which was filmed at MMC Studios and elsewhere. On January 18, 2018, the sequel "Hilfe, ich hab meine Eltern geschrumpft", for which the production was again hosted by MMC, will hit theaters.
The main roles play Oskar Keymer as Felix, Anja Kling ("Hanni & Nanni") as school principal Dr. Schmitt-Gössenwein and Axel stone ("Not My Day") as Peter Vorndran.
New with us are Julia Hartmann ("Schlussmacher") as Sandra Vorndran and Andrea Sawatzki ("Horst Schlämmer - Isch kandidiere!") as Hulda Stechbarth. As in the first part, the guest star is again Otto Waalkes as the school's founder Otto Leonhard. Also back as Felix's friends are Lina Hüesker as Ella and George Sulzer to be seen as Mario.
The screenplay for this turbulent comedy was again written by Gerrit Hermans. Tim Trageser took over the direction. Corinna Mehner and Hans Eddy Schreiber are responsible as producers.
"Help, I Shrunk My Parents" is a German-Austrian co-production by blue eyes Fiction, in co-production with Karibufilm, Minifilm, Deutsche Columbia Pictures Filmproduktion and ARRI Media Productions.
Filming took place over 45 days in Nuremberg, Hanau, Leverkusen, Vienna and in the MMC Studios Cologne held.
The film is supported by the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF), Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF Bayern), Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA), HessenFilm und Medien, Österreichisches Filminstitut, Filmfonds Wien, FISA - Filmstandort Austria and the State of Lower Austria.
Felix's (Oskar Keymer) school is haunted again. This time, however, it's not the benevolent school founder Otto Leonhard (Otto Waalkes) who's up to mischief, but the hated and long-dead principal Hulda Stechbarth (Andrea Sawatzki). A coincidence resurrects the then shrunken and skeletonized school terror.
Meanwhile, Felix is annoyed with his parents (Axel Stein and Julia Hartmann). Because just when things are going really well for him at the Otto-Leonhard-Gymnasium under the direction of principal Dr. Schmitt-Gössenwein (Anja Kling), his parents want to move with him to Dubai because his father wants to take a new job there. Felix is against this and wishes that his parents should also be forced to do what he wants for once.
This wish comes true faster than Felix expected, because after an involuntary encounter with Hulda, his parents are shrunk. In the middle of the night, they are suddenly standing next to his bed, completely exhausted and looking for help, after having fought their way home in an adventurous way.
Suddenly Felix is the one who has to take care of his parents, which is not so easy. Together with his friends, he forges a plan to make his parents great again and save the school from Hulda, who is holding "Schmitti" captive and trying to seize power.
