Shooting is currently underway at MMC Studios for Granz Henman's „Help, I shrunk my friends". Yesterday, the production was presented to the press. On the set at MMC Studio 41 there was a High-tech shooting with motion control camera systems and that with nine meters length maybe biggest skateboard ever shot with, to marvel at.
About the film:
When new student Melanie shows up at Otto-Leonhard-Gymnasium, Felix's world turns upside down. Much to the suspicion of Ella and Felix's gang: they believe that Melanie is behind many of the petty thefts that have been happening at the school since her arrival. Things then come to a head rapidly on the school trip, not least because Felix has previously been let in on the secret of shrinking by the school ghost Otto Leonhard. When Felix's friends almost ruin his date with Melanie, he spontaneously shrinks her down to a tenth of her size - and suddenly everything doesn't go according to plan...
"Help, I shrunk my friends," under the Directed by Granz Henman after the Screenplay by Gerrit Hermans, is a production of blue eyes Fiction in co-production with Karibufilm Produktion, Mini Film, Filmvergnuegen, Potemkino Port and WS Filmproduktion.
Producers are Corinna Mehner (blue eyes Fiction) and Hans Eddy Schreiber (Karibufilm). Co-producers are Katja Dor-Helmer (Mini Film), Peter Trenkwalder (Filmvergnuegen), Peter De Maegd, Tom Hameeuw (both Potemkino Port) and Dr. Wolfgang Stürzl (WS Filmproduktion).
The production arises with German support from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the Filmförderungsanstalt, the Deutscher Filmförderfonds, the FFF Bayern, as well as the Österreichisches Filminstitut, the IDM Südtirol, the Filmfonds Wien, FISA - Filmstandort Austria, Screen Flanders and the Land Niederösterreich.
The Filming have been running since August 13 in Italy, Austria, Belgium and Germany. DCM will release the film in German cinemas at the end of 2020.
